A bit about me

I live in Hamburg, I'm 34, and I've been building things for the web since 2009 — C# since 2013. Most of my work is internal tooling: replacing fragile Excel sheets and rigid off-the-shelf software with something that actually fits how a team works.

In 2021 I founded Softwerkstatt GmbH, a small development studio out of Hamburg. Over 13 years of independent work I've picked up a habit of professional communication, 15+ conferences, 150+ meetups, and 20+ hackathons — a few of which I actually won.

02 — Journey

How I got here

2009

First lines of code

Trained as a Fachinformatiker while building corporate sites and shops at agencies — clients like KiK, OTTO and Alstria. Six years of PHP, Typo3 and learning the craft.

2015

Co-founded Tiny Roar

Three years building mobile games in Unity/C# — 10+ titles shipped, featured by Apple & Google, up to 700,000 players in a single week. Worked with BBC, Kalypso Media and Spil Games.

2018

Went freelance

Started as an independent .NET & Angular developer. First big one: a booking platform for Weischer Media that's since handled 20,000+ billboard bookings.

2021

Founded Softwerkstatt GmbH

Built my own studio in Hamburg, focused on pragmatic full-stack development and internal tooling for teams drowning in spreadsheets.

2022

Tech Lead at Ströer

My favourite project so far — leading planning and development of a digital records platform for Germany's #1 out-of-home advertiser. Still ongoing, 40+ daily users, fully native on Azure.

2023

Microservices & DDD at ECKD

Helped Germany's largest church software provider go live with a greenfield, domain-driven, MongoDB-backed .NET platform of hundreds of services.

2025

Tesla Gigafactory Grünheide

Joined a 20-person US team as a .NET developer, extending Tesla's internal time-tracking system with EMEA-specific HR & payroll features — with a close eye on security and GDPR.
